Traditional Homes Pty Ltd can build your home to different stages, ranging from simply supplying the materials through to the completion of your home. Below are some definitions of the different stages, as well as links to pages that provide more detailed information on the different stages of completion.

Definitions:


"Built By" Traditional Homes Pty Ltd supplies all the plant, labour, materials, equipment as well as sub-contractors to complete the home to whatever stage is required.

"Supplied By" Only materials, to whatever stage is required, are supplied to the building site. Any on site labour, setting out, or sub-contractor liaising is the responsibility of the purchaser.

"Base Stage" (a) In the case of a home with a timber floor – when the concrete footings for the floor are poured and the base brickwork is built to floor level.

(b) In the case of a home with a timber floor with no base brickwork – when the stumps, piers, columns or mega anchors are completed.

(c) In the case of a home with a suspended concrete slab floor – when the concrete footings are poured.

(d) In the case of a home with a concrete raft of floating slab floor – when the floor is completed.

(e) In the case of a home for which the exterior walls and roof are constructed before the floor is constructed – when the concrete footings are poured.

"Frame Stage" When a homes timber frame has been completed ready for lining.

"Lock-up Stage" When a home’s external wall cladding and roof covering are fixed, the flooring is laid and external doors and external windows of the habitable areas are fixed.

"Fixing Stage" When all internal cladding, architraves, skirtings, doors, built-in wardrobes, baths, vanities, sinks, cupboards, and kitchen are fitted and fixed in position.

"Built Complete" When the building works are finished and the home is reasonably capable of being used for its usual and designed purpose.

"Squares" A building square consists of an area 3.05 metres square. This relates to the imperial measurement 10 feet by 10 feet or 100 square feet or 9.3 square metres.
